Do you need a new or revamped website? A brochure? Website? Poster? Newsletter? Letterhead? No job is too small or too big (well… some jobs might be a little too big). Let me know what you need. Moey’s Music Party, the Wilburton Inn  and Cougar the Musical have become happier and peppier because of my help. You could become a more happy, peppy person, too!

I have worked in communications positions for non-profits on a tight budget.

In addition to creating and executing marketing plans, I also have worked in media relations, placing clients in media outlets that include The New York TimesThe Wall Street JournalNew York PostThe Today ShowGood Morning America and more.

I can help you with your marketing and, most importantly, “teach you to fish.”

“Branding” — second to “nuance” — has got to be one of the most overused words of this decade. Even so, you are your brand and you do need to own it.

The best part about creating or reimagining your brand is that you don’t need to spend tens of thousands of dollars to do it.

I can teach you the basics of branding, provide you with a brand assessment and help you find your “golden arches.”

I have used my writing skills to create press releases, email marketing campaigns, advertising copy, web copy and more.

As a journalist, The New York ResidentThe New Jersey Star Ledger and several other publications have published my writing. Click here to read.

I also am co-author (book & lyrics) of Oedipus! A New Musical Comedy, published by Samuel French, and wrote the dialogue for an opera based on the O.J. Simpson trial by composer Anthony Newman.

Maureen Langan“Bob Johnson is a very creative photographer. He makes my life difficult because his photography is so good that when people see me they say, ‘Oh, you look much better in your pictures.’ It hurts. But that’s what Bob does. He brings pain and good pictures.

Donna Moore“Bob is a multi-talented, creative craftsman. His websites are brand driven, innovative and simple to navigate; his videos are high-end professional, shot and edited with an eye for humor, insight and intelligence; and his photos… well… his camera must have an ‘I’m Beautiful’ lens because he always makes me look beautiful.

Melissa Levis“I absolutely adore working with Bob and he has taught me SO much! He is patient and kind and utterly wise – like my very own Yoda.

“He has helped me tremendously to get comfortable with social media, new programs on my Mac like Pages, iMovie, iDVD, and so many more. I can’t say enough great things about him. Life is so much better with him at the wheel!”

Lisa Gold“I’ve known Bob for over two years and have used his services both as a coach for my business as well as his video shooting and editing.

“He is also a great teacher of social media and led two classes through my company…one for actors wanting to learn how to use Facebook to raise their profile and one for actors wanting to create webisodes on YouTube. Bob is personable, professional and most of all FUN!

DonnaBostany“I met Bob at an actor’s networking function. That day was the start of my ‘yellow brick road’… Thanks to Bob, I obtained new headshots, audition videos and a personal website (equivalent to a brain, heart and courage in my industry).

“Bob also taught me how to edit my own website so I could update it myself. The best part is that Bob is a joy to work with! He is smart, skillful, funny and kind-hearted. The results of his work are brilliant. ‘Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain’…. unless it’s Bob!”

MelissaHead shots are a big, important investment for an actor, and I’ve been waiting a long time for really good and realistic ones. It was worth the wait. Bob’s photos are beautiful and eye catching — exactly what I was looking for. Not only am I getting amazing compliments on the photos, but I got my first two auditions for national commercials within the first few weeks of using them. Bob also made me feel very comfortable during the shoot and we had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend Bob to anyone, and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

TamaraBob has been the resident photographer at The Harbor Lights Theater Company since 2010. His photos have brilliantly captured our work. We are proud to display them in our lobby, on our website, and in all promotional materials. Additionally, he is a joy to work with and has the fastest response time ever! We would be lost without him.
