My grandmother gave me my first camera — a pocket GAF 110 camera — for my tenth birthday. Ever since that day, photography has been a part of my life: from my first job out of college, for which I taught photography for five years, to today. Design also made its way into my life and I have created many publications, postcards, advertisements, websites and more for non-profits, artists, arts organizations and a family-run hotel.
I have worked in non-profit communications for most of my career and have areas of expertise that include higher education, theater, music, dance and religion. I also am a journalist and playwright.
I am member of The Recording Academy, co-producer of the Parents’ Choice Gold Award-winning recording Princess Revolution! by Moey’s Music Party and associate producer of the off-Broadway hit Cougar the Musical. As a publicist, I have placed clients in media outlets that include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, The Today Show, Good Morning America and more.
Honors and awards include winning the International Association of Business Communicators Call for Research Papers, the Jim Henson Award for Projects Related to Puppetry, an artistic achievement citation from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival and New York Press’s “Best Straight-Faced Cover Story Interview with Joan Rivers.” Click here to read a story about me in my hometown paper, The Warwick Beacon.
